Specially optimized for applicants in the Delhi NCR region including Gurgaon and Noida, our process ensures that your application meets the highest standards. Processing time is the #1 question Indian applicants ask before submitting their Singapore visa application. The anxiety is understandable — flights are booked, hotels are reserved, leave is approved. Missing a travel date due to delayed processing is a costly mistake that is almost always preventable.

The Standard Timeline: 3 to 5 Working Days

What "Working Days" Actually Means

Once your Authorized Agent submits your finalized application into the Singapore ICA's SAVE portal, the processing clock officially begins. Working days means:

  • Monday to Friday ONLY
  • Singapore public holidays do not count (Singapore's NDP on 9 August, Chinese New Year, etc.)
  • Indian public holidays at the Singapore High Commission may also cause delays
  • The clock starts on submission day only if submitted before 12:00 PM IST

Express Processing: 1 to 2 Working Days

When to Use Express

Express Processing is ideal when your travel date is within 7 days and you cannot afford the standard 3–5 day window. ExpressVisaSG's Express tier ensures:

  1. Your documents are audited immediately upon receipt
  2. Any corrections are flagged within 2 hours for instant rectification
  3. Your application is submitted to the ICA's SAVE portal within the same business day
  4. Priority follow-up is performed if ICA requests additional documentation

Important: Express Processing does not "pay" the ICA to process faster. It prioritizes OUR internal workflow so the submission happens faster. The ICA still makes the final decision at their own pace — but priority queue submissions typically receive faster responses.

See the express processing fee on our Tourist Visa Fees page.

What Can Reset or Pause the Processing Clock?

Documentation Errors

If the ICA's automated system or a reviewing officer identifies an issue with your application (wrong photo format, inconsistent travel dates, missing bank statement), the clock is effectively paused until you provide the corrected documents. This is the most common cause of extended processing times.

Peak Season Delays

  • December (Christmas & New Year holidays) — Add 2–3 days
  • October/November (Diwali season) — Add 1–2 days
  • May/June (Summer school holidays) — Add 1 day
  • Public holidays in Singapore — Processing fully stops

Complex Profiles

First-time applicants traveling solo, applicants with prior visa rejections, or applicants with unusual financial patterns may receive additional manual scrutiny, extending processing to 7–10 working days in rare cases.

The Golden Rule: When Should I Apply?

Apply exactly 3 to 4 weeks before your travel date. This timing is optimal for three reasons:

  1. It gives the standard 3–5 day window a comfortable buffer
  2. It gives you 2 weeks to address any document correction requests
  3. Your visa validity (typically 30 days from issue) will not expire before your travel date
Never apply more than 8 weeks in advance. A visa issued in Week 1 may expire by the time you travel in Week 10.
